Hours per hundred products
A missing brand field or a description that never names the material costs minutes each, times your whole catalog.
Recommendations
Recommendations shows the evidence, the current value and the drafted replacement side by side. Approve, edit, apply in bulk — and revert anything from History.
In short
Recommendations is the page where every proposed catalog change waits for your decision. Sphen.ai shows the evidence, the current value and the drafted replacement side by side. You approve, edit, apply or dismiss each one. Nothing reaches your storefront until you press Apply, and every applied change can be reverted from History.

The problem
A missing brand field or a description that never names the material costs minutes each, times your whole catalog.
Generic SEO tools list issues without saying which buyer question a fix pays into.
Mass edits without a before/after and an undo are how good product data gets overwritten.
Recommendations
How it works
Top recommendations surfaces the fixes worth doing first, each with an impact score. The full approval table sits right below.
Every recommendation explains what is wrong, which buyer questions it affects and what happens when you apply. Generate the draft, edit it, or refine it with AI.
Applied changes land in History with their status. Each one can be reverted, and Sphen.ai warns you if the field was edited in Shopify since.
In the app
The Open tab starts with Top recommendations. These are your highest-impact fixes as cards, each with an impact score and a Review button. Below them sits the All recommendations table. Its tabs narrow by object type: All, Products, Collections, Pages, Blog posts and Translations. You can search by title, sort by priority and filter by proposal state on a type tab.
Open a recommendation with Review or Details. You see Before / after and the Evidence block with Current, Target and Signal. Press Edit to change the wording yourself, or Refine with AI with an instruction like make it shorter. Then press Apply to write the change to Shopify, or Dismiss if it does not fit your brand.
For volume, select rows in the table and press Bulk AI generate content to draft. Then press Apply changes. A confirmation dialog names how many changes across how many items go live. Afterwards the History tab lists each applied change with Revert and a Live on store badge that verifies it against the real storefront value.

Yes. Use Edit to change the wording yourself, or Refine with AI with an instruction like make it shorter. If you edit or refine a change that was already approved, it reopens for approval. Nothing is written to Shopify until you press Apply.
The change is written to Shopify and its status moves to Applied, then Measuring. Sphen.ai waits for enough data to judge it, which takes about two weeks. On Overview, Measured impact then sorts the change into Improved, Worsened, No measurable movement or Insufficient data.
Yes. Open Recommendations → History and use Revert on the change. If someone edited the field in Shopify after Sphen.ai applied it, you get a warning first. Check the current value in Shopify, then choose Revert anyway or cancel, so a newer edit is not overwritten by accident.
Not by default. Automatic applying is part of the Growth plan and currently a private beta that is not enabled for every store. Ask support if you want it. Until then you apply every change yourself. Auto-applied changes stay revertible from Recommendations → History.
Every open action on that item concerns a field no AI can invent, such as vendor, category, GTIN or image alt. Those need a manual edit in Shopify. Product category is the common case: add a product type, or pick the category directly in Shopify.
Some writes did not land. Changes are applied per field, so part of the batch can be live while the rest is still open. Reload the tab and apply what is still open. Persistent failures appear as failed jobs under Activity, with the error text.
Install Sphen.ai, let it read your store, and decide exactly what goes live.
