One number hides the gaps
A store can be named often by Perplexity and never by ChatGPT. An average across all assistants blurs that.
AI visibility · Citation share
Sphen.ai breaks your AI visibility down per assistant — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Overview — so you know where you are cited and where you are not.
In short
Citation share shows how often each AI assistant cites your store in the answers Sphen.ai samples. You get one card per engine for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Overview. Visibility score, share of voice and win rate add context. All values are sampled, so read the trend across scans.

The problem
A store can be named often by Perplexity and never by ChatGPT. An average across all assistants blurs that.
Appearing in an answer and being recommended as the top pick are two different results.
When an answer cites shops, you need to know how many of those links point at you.
How it works
Overview shows your citation share for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Overview side by side.
Visibility score: how many sampled answers mention you. Share of voice: how many cited store links point at you. Win rate: how often you are the top pick when mentioned.
Rankings shows engine coverage per prompt. An empty cell is an assistant that answers the question without you.
In the app
Overview opens with a sentence that sums up your citation share and your strongest assistant. Below it, one card per engine shows the citation share for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Overview. You see at a glance which assistant cites you and which one does not. The numbers come from your AI visibility scans, which you start on the same page.
Visibility score is the share of sampled AI answers across engines that mention your store, scored out of 100. Share of voice looks at the store links AI answers cited and counts how many pointed at you. Win rate takes the answers that mention you and shows the share that recommend you as the top pick. Each metric is labelled as sampled.
On Analytics, open the AI visibility deep dives dropdown and pick Rankings. The engine coverage matrix shows each prompt against each engine. An empty cell is an assistant that answers the question without you, and a gap worth working on. Next to it, the Cited domains table lists the domains that were cited, so you can compare your own domain with review sites and other shops.

Plans
AI visibility tests per month
Visibility score is the share of sampled answers that mention your store. Share of voice looks only at cited store links and asks how many pointed at you. The two numbers answer different questions, so read them together and not one in place of the other.
Of the answers that mention you, it shows how many recommend you as the top pick. Mentioned but never winning is a positioning problem, not a visibility problem. In that case, look at the competitors named in the same answers in the prompt details.
AI answers are non-deterministic and each scan is a sample, not a census. Small movements are noise. Read the direction across several scans, and use Gainers and Losers on the Prompts deep dive for movement that survived sampling.
Results are broken down for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Overview. You find them as citation share cards on Overview and under Engine coverage in the Rankings deep dive. Real-browser re-checks cover the ChatGPT and Gemini web interfaces only.
Each plan includes a fixed number of AI visibility tests per month. The allowance resets at the start of the next month. You see what is left under Settings → Plans. When the limit is reached, the app tells you which allowance is used up.
Treat it as a real result, not an error. Start with Recommendations to close gaps in your catalog data. Then use Content and Mentions to build material that assistants can cite. Check the card of that engine again after later scans and read the direction.
Install Sphen.ai, let it read your store, and decide exactly what goes live.
