Half-translated storefronts
Shoppers hit language gaps mid-funnel, and AI assistants answering in that language cite a complete page from someone else.
For multilingual stores
For stores selling in more than one language. Sphen.ai prepares translations for the languages already in your Shopify store, keeps your protected terms, and pushes only what you approve.
In short
Sphen.ai prepares translations for the storefront languages you have already added in Shopify. It translates title, description, SEO title and SEO description on products and collections, in the writing style you set and with your protected terms left untouched. Every translation is a proposal you review before you push it, and every pushed translation can be reverted.

Features
In the app
Add the language in Shopify first, because Sphen.ai only prepares translations for languages that already exist in your store. Then open Settings → Brand, tick the language under Storefront languages and choose a writing style: Match source, Informal or Formal. List your brand and product names as protected terms, one per line, and save the language settings. If prompted, grant the permission to write translations.
Open Recommendations and go to the Translations tab of the All recommendations table. Press Generate translations. Nothing is written to Shopify at this stage. Compare the Proposal column with the Source column, then push single rows or everything that is ready. Translations that already existed are marked Existing translation kept, and replacing one takes an explicit Overwrite with a confirmation.
Publishing a language to shoppers is a separate step under Storefront languages. Wait until the core content is translated, because anything without a translation falls back to your store language. Afterwards, watch the statuses. Source changed means the original text moved and the proposal should be regenerated. Changed elsewhere means someone edited the translation in Shopify after it was generated.

The storefront languages you have already added in Shopify and ticked under Settings → Brand. Sphen.ai does not add languages to your store. You add them in Shopify first, and the Storefront languages card links there with Manage languages in Shopify. Then you tick each language Sphen.ai should prepare translations for.
Yes. Set a writing style per language (Match source, Informal or Formal) and list protected terms that are never translated. Protected terms are usually brand and product names, entered one per line. Both settings live under Settings → Brand in the Storefront languages card and apply to the translations you generate.
No. Generating, pushing and publishing to the storefront are three separate decisions. Generating creates proposals, pushing writes them to Shopify, and publishing makes the language visible to shoppers. Publish only once the core content is translated, because anything without a translation falls back to your store language.
Title, description, SEO title and SEO description on products and collections. You review every proposal next to its source text in the Translations tab before you push it. Text without a translation falls back to your store language once the language is published, so check coverage first.
Not on its own. Translations that were already in Shopify are marked Existing translation kept. Replacing one requires an explicit Overwrite with a confirmation. If someone edits a translation in Shopify after Sphen.ai generated its proposal, the row is marked Changed elsewhere so you can check before you push.
Yes. Every pushed translation can be reverted. If the revert reports that there is nothing to revert, the live translation already matches the value you would restore, so no change was needed. Translation jobs also appear in the Activity log, where you can filter by the Translations type.
